Job Description

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Generate Layout drawings from sketches and specifications
Use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) tools and software, as well as building information modelling (BIM), to create design and construction drawings
Must be sure that these drawings follow ordinances such as zoning laws, building codes and fire regulations.
Preparation of working drawings, shop drawings and details according to our methods including: Floor plans, elevations, Construction Details, Furniture layouts
Any other drawings needed for the professional execution of the project
Relevant drawings for DM or DCD approval
Revise and update drawings to ensure consistent documentation of the project
Create manuals that describe existing products operation, features and maintenance

Skill Set Experience

5-year UAE experience in Architectural and Engineering drawings, Designing & drafting
Civil Draftsman Diploma/Certificate
Software Skill: Auto CAD 2D & 3D
Additional software skill as an advantage: 3D Max, SketchUP
Experience in Hotels and Resorts is highly preferred
Familiarity with the Dubai Building codes and regulations
Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time delivering against tight deadlines
Very well organized
Flexible, proactive and reactive.

PROJECT MANAGER

Position code: (TBS-PM-01)

You should be specialized in CIVIL & MEP works contracting maintenance with more than 10 years of experiences. Required at least 5 years of site experience in the same field.
Knowledge of handling facility management, building management, authority submission and approval from government entity.
Should have very good knowledge in AUTO CAD drawings and actively contributes to the development and implementation of all rules and procedures governing tendering and contract processes ensuring compliance with internal and governmental controls and regulations.
Supervises the tender s process from the pre qualification stage through to the final bid submission, award of contract and engagement close out.
Collates and ensures proper documentation within the tendering and contract process. Setup procurement schedule and maintain throughout the duration of the projects.
Coordinates the preparation and submission of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and other tender documents that are responsive to client requirements and in compliance with company objectives are completed in a timely manner.
Serves primarily as the secretary to the Tenders and Evaluation committees and serves as a panelist where so requested.
Conduct an in depth analysis of all bids received in response to each Tender, Proposal and Quotation to identify the response that best meets the needs of the user department and is consistent with the terms and conditions of standard procurement policy.
Collaborates with key internal stakeholders in identifying procurement needs relative to projects being undertaken by the company and develops draft procurement schedules.
Prepares evaluation reports and other corresponding documents in accordance with standard templates for approval and signoff.
Formulating and maintaining a rates schedule and distributing to QS department.
Maintain good communication with Quantity Surveyors, Project managers /Engineers, Designers and generally most key personnel to aid in delivering projects on time and within budget without compromising quality.
Developing business relationships with suppliers and contractors to maintain good service

TILE INSTALLER

Position code: (TBS TI-01)

Align and straighten tile using levels, squares and straightedges.
Determine and implement the best layout to achieve a desired pattern.
Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces and corners, using hand and power cutting tools.
Finish and dress the joints and wipe excess grout from between tiles, using damp sponge.
Apply mortar to tile back, position the tile and press or tap with trowel handle to affix tile to base.
Mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tiles, using brush, trowel and screed.
Prepare cost and labor estimates based on calculations of time and materials needed for project.
Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled, following blueprints.
Level concrete and allow to dry.
Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
Prepare surfaces for tiling by attaching lath or waterproof paper, or by applying a cement mortar coat onto a metal screen.
Cut tile backing to required size, using shears.
Brush glue onto manila paper on which design has been drawn and position tiles finished side down onto paper.

MASON

Repairs, maintains and alters buildings, retaining walls and other brick or stone edifices.
Mixes mortar; lays bricks and stones and/or concrete sidewalks; makes and repairs steps
Patches and/or replaces brick or stonework chimneys
Installs and repairs tile floors and/or walls.
Reads blueprints.
Plasters ceilings and/or walls.
Estimates masonry jobs
Does carpentry work incidental to masonry work
Assigns work to a helper or apprentice.

CARPENTER

Should have more than 10 years of experience in construction or fit out or maintenance field, who have worked under LUXURY, HOSPITALITY and VILLAS.
Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required.
Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, carpenter s hand tools, and power tools.
Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, or hardware, using carpenter s hand and power tools.
Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, hand tools, and paneling.
Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, and wood-strip-block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base.
Fill cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard and sand patch, using patching plaster, trowel, and sanding tool.
Perform minor plumbing, welding and/or concrete mixing work.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.
Keep records and compiles reports of work performed by carpentry crew.

DRAFTSMAN
Position Code: (TBS DM-04)

Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects
Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineers and architects
Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
Work under the supervision of engineers or architects
Assists in preparing, field verifying and maintaining the Cooperative s mapping systems utilizing ESRI based mapping software.
Assist in the maintenance of the Cooperative line data continuity for system study analysis.
Provides hardcopy and electronic, feature and thematic based maps and drawings for internal and external uses.
Provide geospatial queries.
Assists in the creation and maintenance of Construction Specification Drawings created with a CAD software.
Assists in the maintenance of plotters and supplies and provide technical support on the same.
Keeps accurate inventory of joint use poles.
